Workshop Training
What Makes Our Training Different?
Weist-Barron-Ryan's goal has always been about preparing talent to actively work in the industry. Seeing as we are also a casting agency, we have a special insight into the business every day that allows us to share updated information with our talent, and ensures that we train every actor or actress the skills we see productions requesting. We meet with the directors, we sit in the audition rooms, and we see what gets a person booked. There is a reason we're the oldest on-camera acting program in the nation, and it's because our methods work.

Elevate Your Acting Career

Monologue Workshop
Learn the different methods actors use to display true emotion in front of the camera from WBR Manager, Director, and Casting Associate, Rob Reedy. The goal is simple... realism! In this workshop, focus on working off instinct and a clear mind rather than forcing the feelings in a scene so that the movements, expressions, and emotions flow naturally. Students receive individualized instruction through videotape critiques and peer review.

One of Our Most Popular Workshops
Scene Study Workshop
Once an actor is well on their way to honing their craft, it’s finally time to master scene work. The best scenes are a combination of chemistry, effort, and comfortability; this workshop covers all three with WBR Vice President and Casting Director, Quinn Showell. Learn to work with other actors and understand what it takes to be a good scene partner through various scripts selected for each semester, peer review, and individualized critiques.

Everything They Need to Succeed
Young Actors Workshop
This workshop is geared towards each student and their skill level. We teach audition technique, monologues, scene work, commercials, mood, self-confidence, set etiquette, and so much more through interactive instruction and encouragement. Students receive a final taping of the material they've worked on throughout the semester, and parents/guardians receive the self-marketing training needed to help get their young actor out there and auditioning.
